2021 Sunflower Short Stories — Part 2
Check out the rest of the 2021 Sunflower Short Stories: [Part 1] [Part 3] [Part 4]These Sunflower Short Stories at Dix Park are such a fun way to get to check in with some of our regulars. It’s so cool to see how their stories are changing… Some with the addition of new babies, and some with kiddos growing older and developing those unique personalities we so love to see. It’s such a joy to get to pop into their lives for a moment and capture these sweet, priceless moments in their story as a family. The Boyce Family MiniYou've seen the Boyce family on the blog so many times (even among the sunflowers!), and I am always so thrilled to hear from them. There was a LOT of laughter and pulling out all my best tricks to get these energetic little ladies on board... But, I mean hello, look at how cute these turned out! The Roberts Family Maternity MiniWe had lots of maternity shoots in the sunflowers this year. Megan and Todd wanted to celebrate expecting their first little one but in a more low key, less maternity shoot-ish way. Megan mentioned to Ashley that it's hard to get a good bump shot with Todd while taking a selfie. So true! We got you though. We captured all the sweet and simple bumps shots for these two parents-to-be. The Spears-Newsome Family MiniThe Spears-Newsome family had their now one-year-old during the height of the pandemic. I remember their shoot being one of the first I did back indoors after the stay-at-home order. I was so careful not to touch anything, to change clothes before and after, and keep my mask on, etc.You may have heard people talk about how pandemic babies are more shy because they've not been around as many people. They are very observant and reserved when they are out in the world because they have not been in as many social situations. This sweet little one was so that way, and yet was also such a treat and delight. She waved at all the people passing by, and finally gave me some of her well guarded smiles at the end. What a treat to photograph this gang again!
