This was such a sweet family maternity shoot!

If you follow me (Ashley) on social media you might remember that this past fall I had to make a quick move when I got kicked out of my rental house so they could tear it down and build a fancy house in it’s place. At the time I was NOT thrilled about a sudden move in the middle of busy season but let me tell you, I have LOVED my new place. One of the best parts is that I’ve got some incredible neighbors, including this sweet family! They were some of the first to welcome me to the neighborhood and I’ve had the best time getting to know them as they wait for their newest addition to arrive!! Crystal is due any day now so let’s send her all the healthy, safe wonderful birth story vibes we can!

When Leah reached out about doing her maternity pictures with her wife and daughter, she made sure I knew first thing that she wanted these to be non-traditional. She joked about how she isn't the typical pregnant woman and wanted to make sure that amongst the "serious" ones that she also got some that matched her goofy personality…

It’s always an honor to watch your families grow from behind our cameras and we have been part of the Gibson family for a while. We have photographed their engagement, bridal shoot, wedding, anniversaries, graduations, first maternity, and family shoots. It's only fitting that now we are invited into their second maternity shoot. Mom and dad’s humor shown through in the popular reference to The Office inside joke on the announcement shirt and onesie…

Watch out, there are a whole lot of cute curly ladies in this family… but don’t worry, Dad won’t be totally outnumbered because baby #3 is a BOY! It has been YEARS since Ashley did a themed mini shoot moment like this, so she wanted to try some things out for this one. She went with two different locations for the Christmas-themed shoot day because, honestly, she wasn’t sure what would work best. Ashley was feeling the pressure of picking holiday decorations that lots of different people would appreciate the style of. That is tough, y’all!… But she totally nailed it!
