We love an extended family shoot! Ashley had the best time at the JC Raulston Arboretum with this sweet family. It was so nice to be back in this location after it was closed last year because of the pandemic.Pro tip: Schedule your extended family shoot at the end of the year when the family is gathered together for the holidays! An extended family shoot also makes the perfect gift for the grandparents or that person who already has everything. ;)

Eeee! We’re so excited to start sharing these 2021 Fall Short Stories with y’all! We’ve had the best time with y’all shooting these. It’s so fun to catch up with your families every year and document how much they’ve changed. First up, we have our first fall mini shoot day in Raleigh with Becca from the end of October. Although most of the leaves hadn't quite turned fall colors yet, we had a gorgeous but chilly morning for photos! All of these families had little ones, who rocked their assignment with smiles!We were lucky that there was one pile of leaves next to a building and a parking lot that had some great color! Through some creative cropping/angles from Becca, we managed to make it look so good. These were some of Becca’s favorite moments from each shoot, and the kiddos loved being able to play in the fall leaves!

Y’all, this is such an exciting shoot for us to share! Amanda is Ashley’s little sister, so that baby bump is soon going to be her baby niece! Eeeee!!! The Abresch family are regulars around here. We’ve had the joy of photographing their wedding, their first newborn, family minis, and now their newest addition… Baby J! Baby sister M, who is not-so-baby-anymore, is so sweet with her baby brother. We’ve found that when you’re doing a newborn shoot with an older sibling around this age, you have to keep patience and good humor on hand at all times. You just never know what’s going to happen next and have to be ready to capture those sweet moments as they come. Baby J’s nursery is just the cutest! How much do we love that wallpaper?! The woodland theme made the whole space feel cozy and fun. The perfect space for this little guy to grow up!

Mary and Andrew wanted a simple but sweet wedding before their next adventure of moving to Europe together. Well, mission accomplished! These two lovebirds were the picture of sweetness on their wedding day at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Raleigh.

We love when a wedding really feels like the couple, and this one felt exactly like Mary and Andrew. Ashley had the best time capturing all the beauty of their wedding day. Can y’all even handle how STUNNING Mary’s lace wedding dress is?! Absolutely breathtaking.
