Wedding Story: Kristin & Emily
Our last wedding of 2015 was truly an awesome one to end the season on! We had been hearing all about the details for this day for a year and we just could not WAIT for it to arrive. When we first met with Kristin and Emily to talk about their day I knew instantly that they were our kind of couple. I was so excited they chose us! Unfortunately by the time they met with us they had been turned down by several other vendors because they are a couple who happens to be gay. They were the final straw that prompted me into action to create the Vendors for Marriage Equality list because it hurt my heart to hear that they had been turned away by so many vendors who did not want to work with them. These two are the sweetest ever! They had just found Joel at The Preston Woodall House so they were finally in good hands with a vendor. Joel took such good care of them as I knew he would (you can see him hugging on these girls in this post) - he went above and beyond to make sure they felt loved and supported. There were endless fun details to this day, including matching glitter bridal Vans, Star Wars details galore, surprise video presentations and SO MUCH PARTYING. Let's talk about the Star Wars details - they had personalized party light sabers, a Death Star wedding cake topper, and the life-size Star Wars cut outs that were in the surprise video made an appearance or two during the dancing at the reception. I could just go on and on but I am going to let the pictures speak for themselves. We loveloveloveLOVED being a part of your day, Kristin and Emily!
