Wedding Story: Charis and Jonathon

What a wedding story these two have!  Charis is one of the funniest people I know- I LOVE her sense of humor.  Thank goodness she has such good humor because she needed it to get through a few mishaps on her wedding day!  I first met Charis and Jonathon at the Cava Sibling shoot back in 2009.  Then you will recognize these two in Charis' sister Julia's wedding last year.

Charis and Jonathan's wedding day was super hot- a steamy 100+ degree day, and to top it all off, Jonathon was not feeling good at all.  As the day went on, Jonathon felt worse and worse.  The reception ended earlier than planned so that they could get Jonathon to the urgent care before it closed.  We so hated that their day ran short.  One of the things they did not get to do before they left was pictures of just the two of them- we had left those for after the reception when it wasn't supposed to be quite so hot.  Since Jonathan owned his suit we decided that we would come back once Jonathon was feeling better to get those pictures of just the newlyweds.  I want to share with you a few images from there wedding day and then the "day after" shoot!

Another thing that Charis had to be in good spirits about was her wedding cake.  The time came for it to arrive- it was not there.  The ceremony ended- the cake was not there.  The reception got started and it was during the blessing after the first dances that the cake finally arrived.  WHEW!  Just in time!

On a cooler, healthier day for everyone, I made my way back to Clinton to get these two in front of the camera, alone.  I LOVE what we came up with...

Charis and Jonathon, we have LOVED working with the two of you.  You are so much fun to be around and I am so glad it worked out for us to come back down and complete your wedding pictures.  I know you will always enjoy telling these stories from your wedding day.  We are honored to be a part of them!
