Family Story: The Litalien Family

 

I used to only think of family shoots as shoots of families that had small kids.  People want to track the changes as their kids grow older and taller.  Then a couple of years ago I started getting family shoots that involved all adults and it stretched how I typically looked at a family shoot.  The Litalien Family has two grown up girls (one of which is getting married in a year so you will get to see more of her and her family on the blog) who have sweet men in their worlds and will be starting their own families.  Katelyn, who is getting married in January of 2014, decided she wanted a shoot for her family before they start adding husbands to the mix.  I loved this idea!  They decided the shoot would be in their parents home, highlighting all the places that are familiar and special to each family member.  Katelyn's Dad was a wedding photographer so most of the time he is behind the camera, so I was glad to give him a chance to be in the pictures with his family!  Even though I had been warned that the dogs would behave, they actually did great... and were even photo-bombers on a few occasions.
