Business Story
Its Monday. The beginning of the week. It's also the beginning of October- one of our favorite, most busiest months around here. We are going to have TONS to blog coming up- are you ready?I wanted to post a quick little note about blogging as a photographer. There has been a lot of buzz in the wedding planning realm about how it seems some photographers only choose to blog (and feature on their website) "pretty" couples, couples with over-the-top weddings "worth looking at", or couples in "socially acceptable" relationships. In response there has been much conversation on photographer's forums about whether this is true, defending their guilt if they practice this selective blogging, etc.Let me make something very clear. David and I chose to be called Story Photographers because we believe that EVERYONE has an important story to tell about their life... a story they want to share with the world. That's why people want their life documented at what ever stage they chose-- they want to be able to freeze in time these details in the story to show others about this particular point in their life, to be able to remember the details for themselves, and to pass down the story for generations to come.Unless we are not given permission to do so, we blog highlights from every shoot and every wedding that we are asked to document. Every single one-- no matter what those people look like, no matter what the size of their event or how it was decorated, no matter what their sexual orientation, no matter what their race/size/style/etc.
Everyone's story is important.
