Wedding Story: Mikaela and David
Oh the details... oh the long stemmed pumpkins sitting on burlap... oh the fall weather... OH THE LOVE!! Mikaela and David might have had plenty of amazing details on their wedding day but most importantly they were surrounded by people they love and you could see that THAT was what brought them the most joy. I remember on our wedding day feeling so humbled by the amount of people that chose to come celebrate us and the sweet words they told us through out the day. As David and Mikaela dismissed rows after their ceremony, Mikaela could not help but cry. I heard a guest ask her "Girl! Why are you crying??" And Mikaela smiled in her tears and exclaimed "I am just so happy!!" I love that feeling.
Sometimes a bride needs to color princesses with the flower girl...
... sometimes a groom needs to play his banjo.
Guest: "Girl! Why are you crying??"
Mikaela: "I'm just so happy!!!"
I don't know how you feel about prayer, but my goodness, it's so powerful to have all the guests at the wedding rally around you in the common spirit of wishing you well as you head into this new chapter of your life together. It's crazy awesome.
