Wedding Story: Meredith & Alex
We had been talking to Meredith and Alex for awhile about their wedding - in the beginning of our conversations, it felt like that day was so far away! And then suddenly here we were, it was June. This is a wedding we were so looking forward to. What makes me excited about a wedding these days is our connection with the couple and even more importantly, the couple's connection with each other. In one year we can shoot an extravagant, huge country club wedding and yet also shoot a small, DIY backyard wedding. We love both equally when it's with couples that are a good fit for us. Meredith and Alex were such a good fit for us. It was a very Campbell University wedding - the ceremony was in CU's beautiful Butler Chapel, with tons of CU faculty, staff and alumni in attendance. They had so many meaningful details all through out the day. Due to the weather and the schedule, we did most of their couple pictures after the reception around CU's campus. Because of Campbell's strict rules about the opposite sex visiting each other's dorm rooms, couples that met at CU typically have a story about the important spots around campus for their relationship - the place they sat when they decided to become a couple, the spot they had their first kiss, etc. We made sure to visit those spots in our picture taking - those are things you must have documented!
