L&K-536 This day was so fun! Usually, I introduce you to the pair of lovies before their wedding post around here. But when I reached out to Kelley & Lenae to ask for their favorite part of the day, I just couldn't resist letting these two take the wheel. I also just love Lenae's retelling of their love story- It's too beautiful not to share.

From Lenae:

The most wonderful part of our love story was the young years leading up to that wedding day. I met Kelley when she was 18 and brand new to our university, Texas A&M. Looking back, I should have known that there was something incredibly special about this girl because I can tell you every detail about the first time I met her. Kelley and I would be best friends long before she became a love interest. Kelley and I have grown together in all the ways you think of growing in your 20s. We were young when we found love in each other, then I left for two years to live abroad in a remote country. We eventually went separate paths after distance pulled us apart.My favorite part leading up to our wedding day was the day she and I saw each other for the first time after I had returned from the Peace Corps. The moment I arrived at the Saint Louis airport and saw her I knew I wouldn't be able to let her go again. Although I had fought it, I was never able to give up on Kelley, and on that day I knew I would never stop fighting for her. That's the day that I knew she would eventually become my partner. And four years later she did just that. So on our wedding day, being able to reflect on how far we'd come was such a joy because neither of us ever thought that what we had was something we'd ever find. L&K-019

From Kelley:

My favorite part of our wedding was getting to bring people from all the different circles of our lives together, and how full the dance floor was all night long! To be surrounded by our friends and family, dancing and singing at the top of our lungs - it was perfect. We both knew that we wanted people to have FUN at our wedding, and I think we delivered on that front! I loved seeing all the different groups from our lives - high school friends, rugby friends, Peace Corps friends, Raleigh friends, and our families (plus everyone else), come together to celebrate with us. We have so many incredible people in our lives and getting to have them all in one place was so, so special.
