Wedding Story: Jennifer and Adam
Jennifer and Adam had QUITE a wedding day! At the beginning of the day Jennifer was joking around about Charlotte and Brian's wedding day and how crazy their weather made their day. Well... Their wedding just happened to be the Saturday that all the storms and tornados tore through NC. Everyone involved in the wedding was safe and unharmed from that day-- we were saddened by the news that so much damage was happening around us throughout the afternoon and evening.The storms came through and a tornado was not too far away. The Highgrove, where the day's festivities would take place, lost power for 3 or 4 hours while Jennifer finished getting ready and we were to do all the formal/group/wedding party/couple pictures. Otherwise we were alright. That loss of power did lead to some stressful decision making but thanks to Anne, the wedding coordinator, the day went as smoothly as it possibly could.
As the photographers, David and I also had to make some quick decisions on how to go about getting the images we needed to without the power and in the given circumstances....
Adam and Jennifer were still able to have a beautiful first see moment together...

Some people slept through the storm and were awoken by a gaggle of flower girls when the storm was over.
While waiting for the power to come back on, the rains stopped and the sun came out. Looks like the ceremony is still going to be outside!! Everything might have started late but no one complained- so much support and love for Jennifer and Adam!

So those of you that have been hanging around our blog for a couple of years now might have recognized Jennifer's Matron of Honor, Ashley! They have been friends FOREVER, and had to share a dance to Amy Grant's "Baby baby" as it was one of their favorites growing up. I loved that song back in the day! Thanks for introducing me to Jennifer and Adam, Ashley!!

Jennifer and Adam: What an adventure your wedding was!! Whew!! We were honored to brave the storms with you two... and were so excited to see the sun eventually come out. We hope your honeymoon was EXTRA relaxing and sweet for you :)
