Wedding Story: Jason and Jeremy

JJblog-0001 copyI did not plan to blog this wedding the day before Thanksgiving but it works out really well that it landed that way.  This story is super special to David and I.  Jason and Jeremy are so very important to us.  They are the kind of friends that have become family and we are just so incredibly grateful that we have people like that in our village.  They are the kind of friends that we see weekly and talk to in some form almost every day.  They are life friends.  Because of this, we were all up in this wedding - I officiated the ceremony (like I did in April for them before we had marriage equality here in NC), David was in the wedding party and sang in the ceremony, Thabiso was the ring bearer, my sister Amanda was the dog and little girl wrangler, and April photographed the whole thing.  So the way I've told this wedding story on the blog today is personal.  I was incredibly nervous to officiate this wedding, as I have not officiated a wedding before (other than the ceremony in April) and I just wanted it to be perfect.  I love these two men and I loved being a part of bringing them together six years ago and I loved being a part of making their marriage official this year.  Jason and Jeremy are two people that are loved fiercely by many. There were so many happy tears listening to these two exchange the sweet vows they wrote, along with the sweet reading Leah shared.  It was a cold and rainy day so we weren't able to leave All Saints much, but that's ok because the venue is gorgeous.  After a ceremony gushing with love, the reception followed with yummy food from The Pit and a night full of super fun dancing thanks to the always awesome DJ K Stones.  OH and can we talk about how their dog Sampson walked them down the aisle and so patiently enjoyed the ceremony without moving or making a sound!?I am so thankful to know and love Jason and Jeremy.  I am so thankful that their marriage is now recognized by their home state.  I am so thankful that we have such an amazing team that includes such talented photographers as April so that we can be in weddings like this that mean so much to us.JJblog-0002 copyJJblog-0003 copyJJblog-0004 copyJJblog-0005 copyJJblog-0006 copyJJblog-0007 copyJJblog-0008 copyJJblog-0009 copyJJblog-0010 copyJJblog-0011 copyJJblog-0012 copyJJblog-0013 copyJJblog-0014 copyJJblog-0015 copyJJblog-0016 copyJJblog-0017 copyJJblog-0018 copyJJblog-0019 copyJJblog-0020 copyJJblog-0021 copyJJblog-0022 copyJJblog-0023 copyJJblog-0024 copyJJblog-0025 copyJJblog-0026 copyJJblog-0027 copyJJblog-0028 copyJJblog-0029 copyJJblog-0030 copyJJblog-0031 copyJJblog-0032 copyJJblog-0033 copyJJblog-0034 copyJJblog-0035 copyJJblog-0036 copyJJblog-0037 copyJJblog-0038 copyJJblog-0039 copyJJblog-0040 copyJJblog-0041 copyJJblog-0042 copyJJblog-0043 copyJJblog-0044 copyJJ0969 copyJJblog-0045 copyJJblog-0046 copyJJblog-0047 copyJJblog-0048 copyJJblog-0049 copyJJblog-0050 copyJJblog-0051 copyJJblog-0052 copyJJblog-0053 copyJJblog-0054 copyJJblog-0055 copyJJblog-0056 copyJJblog-0057 copyJJblog-0058 copyJJblog-0059 copyJJblog-0060 copyJJblog-0061 copyJJblog-0062 copyJJblog-0063 copyJJblog-0064 copyJJblog-0065 copyJJblog-0066 copyJJblog-0067 copyJJblog-0068 copyJJblog-0069 copy
