Wedding Story: Emily and Jordan, Part One of Two

I do not even know where to start with this wedding.  Emily and Jordan (you can see their engagement shoot here) have such a unique relationship that is full of love, music, art, deep appreciation.  Their style together is so awesome- David and I ate up every detail!  And this is why this wedding will have two posts... I could not fit all my favorites into one post.  Impossible.  Emily and Jordan got married at the Barn at Valhalla.  This venue has such a unique feel to it and we always love getting to shoot there.

The sign you see here was written by Emily.  THAT IS HER HAND WRITING.  She did not ask me to do this, but I have to plug her etsy store and her business' Facebook page.  You must go order cards from Emily!

One of my favorite things is when the guys don't wear a black tux... I love the grey pants and vest combo going on below.  Emily said she thinks Jordan looks really hot in a vest so why not have him wear one on their wedding day!?

Emily and Jordan chose to see each other before the wedding to ease up the schedule in between the ceremony and reception by taking some of the pictures before.  We don't ever want to pressure anyone into doing something they don't want to do... but I will say that this type of schedule does not make the day feel as rushed for everyone.  Couples tell me over and over that seeing each other before does not make the walk down the aisle any less special, it just gives them a chance to take each other in alone.

These two are my view:

These two are David's view:

The bouquets and table pieces are a collaborative effort between Emily and her Dad.  How much do you love those?!

Time to line up for the ceremony...

Check back for part two, where we will be sharing the ceremony and reception with you!
