Wedding Story: Canden and Manny

So while April was shooting a backyard wedding in Apex, David and I (Ashley) were shooting a backyard wedding in Durham.  Basically it was a really great day to be a Story Photographers photographer :)  From the first time we sat down over desserts and coffee with Manny and Canden we knew their wedding was going to be super unique and special.  These two felt like friends instantly and I knew they were a good match for us immediately.  Canden is a writer and a tour guide in DC, while Manny is a musician.  So much of who they are individually and together (these two are huge WashingtonNationals fans, for one) showed up on their wedding day, which we adore in a wedding.  There were so many details that honored their family and friends as well - Canden wore Manny's mother's wedding dress, the wedding was in Canden's parents back yard, there was a mariachi band, food honoring both of their heritages, etc.  There were so many meaningful details to take in!  The energy of the day was just so happy and relaxed.  After a beautiful ceremony, yummy dinner and super fun dancing, the night came to a close with s'mores and a jam session around the fire.  What could be more perfect than that!?
