Wedding Story: Bridal Inspiration

EEEEEEEEE!!  Let me tell you.  I have been so excited to share this post with you all.  I realized that last year I did not do any shoots for fun.  None.  How sad!  Ever since I started doing photography as my job, I discovered that I would still need to take pictures on my own… to seek out what inspired me and photograph it without anyone else's directive/stipulations/agenda.  We first met Arran at her family shoot on her family's farm awhile ago, and then we got to return to this farm for her wedding.  Isn't the land on this farm just lovely?!  Now Arran runs the amazing Tomahawk Trails where she boards horses, teaches riding lessons, gives trail rides, etc.  Arran was so very sweet to give Thabiso a riding lesson and he had the best time.  I got the idea then to see if Arran would be willing to hop back in her wedding dress after a couple of years and do a session with her horse, Smokey.  Lucky for me she said YES.  Smokey was such a ham!  He was all snuggly and made great eye contact.  He really cracked us up as he knew exactly what to do and what we wanted him to do.  And make sure you make it to the bottom of the post - I MIGHT have gotten distracted by kittens and put one in a cowboy boot...
