Wedding Story: Ashley and Earl

A&EWedding-0008I am so honored to share with you today a wedding I shot at Love Wins Ministries - you must go read about who they are and what they do in the Raleigh community.  The short explanation of what Love Wins "does" is that they are "a ministry of presence and pastoral care for the homeless and at-risk population of Raleigh, NC".  We have friends that have founded and work for this ministry and they are some really awesome people doing some really tough work, always remembering the idea that Love Wins.  Love is the most important.  So when I was asked to shoot a wedding in the chapel at Love Wins, I was all in because I also believe that love wins.  How could you not believe that love wins when you see how Ashley and Earl look at each other.  That is love winning.  Maggie, Ashley's Maid of Honor, has graciously chosen to share some beautiful words with you about Ashley and Earl's wedding day:"From the moment Earl laid eyes on Ashley, he knew she would be the one he married. Earl had been single for a while and he thought he was happy on his own, until he found out how much happier he could be with Ashley by his side.A good friend of Earl’s met Ashley first.  As soon as he met Ashley, he wanted to introduce her to Earl.  He persuaded her to come hang out with the two of them one day after she was leaving work.  She agreed and followed him down the path to where they were both living. The rest was history. They began to spend every day together. They talked for hours each day and night, getting to know everything about each other.  It was six months before they finally realized how madly in love they were. They built up the courage to ask Hugh Hollowell to officiate their wedding.  He was honored to do it, and the team at Love Wins started planning immediately.  They couldn’t wait to throw the wedding of the year for this fabulous couple! It was a beautiful day on June 22 at Love Wins Ministries.  Ashley radiated in her white dress. We could see by the tears in Earl’s eyes that he knew that day was the best of his life. Tons of friends were there to support the couple.  Everyone celebated after with delicious snacks and a beautiful cake.In Ashley’s words, “It was absolutely magical. I could not have married a better man on a better day. I am the luckiest girl in the world.”Please check out all the ways you can get involved with Love Wins Ministries on their website.A&EWedding-0012A&EWedding-0013A&EWedding-0025A&EWedding-0027A&EWedding-0028A&EWedding-0030A&EWedding-0031A&EWedding-0034A&EWedding-0035A&EWedding-0037A&EWedding-0043A&EWedding-0045A&EWedding-0046A&EWedding-0057A&EWedding-0060A&EWedding-0063A&EWedding-0067A&EWedding-0073A&EWedding-0075A&EWedding-0078A&EWedding-0081A&EWedding-0088A&EWedding-0095A&EWedding-0117A&EWedding-0120A&EWedding-0123A&EWedding-0130A&EWedding-0135A&EWedding-0150A&EWedding-0158A&EWedding-0164A&EWedding-0177A&EWedding-0181
