Personal Story: Amanda's Bridal Shower
I still can't believe my little sister is old enough to get married! You might remember Amanda and Trevor's engagement shoot... well I had to snap a few pictures of the bridal shower that I threw for Amanda in our new house. It's hard to host and photograph... so yeah, I didn't get all the shots that I normally want to of an event. But I don't regret a thing. I got to eat and laugh and hang out with women that have loved my sister and my family for years. My sister LOVES pink. Adores pink. So that made it really easy to pick a color pallet...
All of my recipes came from Pinterest. Ofcourse. The biggest hit seemed to the the Cookie Cupcakes. Pretty easy to make and SUPER yummy!
With pink as the theme, I had to use pink lady apples...
Our favorite leftover to eat after the shower was the fiesta dip. SOOOOOO stinkin' good.
These flowers smelled SO good when I walked by them at Whole Foods that I had to grab one for the table... and to send home with my sister! The only food I did not get a chance to photograph since it came out of the oven as guests arrived, was Meatball Stuffed Biscuits. Super good, super fast and easy. Would be great for dinner.
I had made these before and just had to make them again: Brownie Cookies. Crazy good.
Since the shower was a kitchen theme, I had people bring a recipe card with their favorite recipes to share with Amanda. I loved seeing all the yummy favorites that came in on those cards! Reminds me, I need to scan some of those... :)
The favor that I had for everyone was a packet of wildflower seeds... "Let Love Grow."
Trevor loves to hunt and be outside. Amanda loves animals and being outside. The two deer in love seemed appropriate decor :)
I had the ladies give Amanda advice and words of encouragement...
I had the BEST time creating this "J" and "&" for Amanda to take home as well.
Oooo I just LOVE this many women full of love and celebration in one circle in my house!
April took over the camera for a few minutes and I got to switch to other Matron of Honor duties.
Five Stephenson women!
Amanda and her life long BFF, Sarah...
... and their Moms.
I am lucky enough to have a mother-in-law that loves me and my family... and was thrilled to come celebrate my sister too!
