Love Story: The Young's 50th Anniversary

 Two days after I did this shoot for the Young's, David and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary.  This summer I've had the honor of photographing two couples who reached their 50th wedding anniversary, and one couple who reached their 60th.  Can you imagine?  It is so rare to find people that stay married that long.  Sometimes our seven years can feel like a long time, other days it seems like time just keeps speeding up.  I've really had this image of a 50 year relationship in my mind lately, and what that looks like day to day.  What little choices did these couple's make in their every day living that helped guide them through 50-60 years together?  Taking a breath before deciding to say something negative, choosing to clearly communicate instead of play emotional games, making the time to just have fun together.  I don't know all of their secrets but I do love when I can see that spark of love in their eyes for each other...
