Graduation Story: Rachel’s FRIENDS Themed Grad Party

Y’all always hear me talk about working with Becky, owner of Lily Rose Events, as she is an incredible wedding and event planner. Well, her oldest, Rachel, graduated high school during a pandemic, which we've all heard was no fun. Rachel did have some bright spots though, such as the sweet 7-year-old kiddo she babysits threw her a surprise, socially distanced, backyard prom (after her prom was cancelled). Maybe you saw it floating around on the internet because it went so viral it made it to several news outlets, including Good Morning America!Becky has a lot of practice in trying to figure out how to make events safe during the pandemic now, so Rachel still got a really cool graduation party and everyone was safe. People were encouraged to social distance, wear masks, and keep any props they used for the photo booth once they touched them. All the food served was individually wrapped, seating was spread out, etc. It was all SO well done. My favorite part was the theme… it was FRIENDS inspired and called "The One Where Rachel Graduates." They had a sign over a big, vintage couch that looks like the one in Central Perk (the coffee shop in FRIENDS). LOVE IT. The party might have gotten stormed on at one point, but Rachel still got so much love on this sweet day.Congrats on your graduation, Rachel!Cakes by Cassie made the cake pops and cookies.Greenhouse Picker Sisters provided the furnishings in the backyard.Chick-fil-A nuggets were on the menu.
