Family Story: Welcome to the World, Baby W
It’s hard to know how older siblings of a newborn baby will do in the family portion of a newborn shoot… let me tell you, this big sister and big brother were so stinkin’ excited to be photographed with the baby and the excitement never let up! Can you tell?! They were excited to hold Baby W, read him books, each get to hang out with him in their rooms... the cutest. They were so full of ideas to participate in the shoot. After the very first set where I had all the kids snuggled in a chair, I showed this mama one picture of her kids all together and she started crying, saying that that was it! That's all she needed! The shoot could end there!
If you’ve been following along for awhile, you might know that this family is special to me, as the kid's uncles are two of my dearest, closest friends. One super fun thing about doing shoots with this family is that they live and work on some beautiful farmland that has been in this mama's family for generations... including this incredible house that they renovated to live in. This mom and dad even got married on the front porch of their house and partied the night away with the reception out back. I love visiting them for a photo shoot! I have photographed their entire family so many times, but specifically with this branch of the family, I’ve had the honor of photographing this Mom and Dad’s wedding, Mom’s post-wedding bridal shoot with her horse, big brother’s newborn shoot, and big sister’s newborn shoot.
