Family Story: The Skaggs Family

I got a sweet email from the matriarch of this beautiful family, Judy, asking that make her dreams come true and get all of her kids and grandkids in one picture with her and her husband.  It took quite the scheduling to get this crowd together... so when we realized that it was still going to be around 100 degrees when we met up at 6:30pm there as some question of what we should do, but we decided to go through with it.  Everyone handled it amazingly well!!

I did not have to worry about a single member of this family being camera shy...

This quilt has been in their family for awhile and is made out of flour sacks (that correct, Judy?).  I LOVED it!

You can't even tell it's 100 degrees in this next one!

Cousins of all ages like to pick on each other...

These two are so very cute.  As soon as I sat them down they started talking about how they are about to celebrate 49 years married together- how precious is that?!  They also sat there and admired the kids and grandkids they had around them... it was sweet to be let in on that moment.

Their kids were asking them not to kiss... sooo....

Reward for a job well done in that intense heat?  POPSICLES.

You all did SO FABULOUSLY in the intense heat!  Thanks for letting me crash your birthday Judy :)  Yay!  The family picture finally happened!
