Engagement Shoot: Ashley and Katie

Ashley and Katie had their first dates on Franklin Street while Ashley was at UNC-CH so why not do their engagement shoot in the land of the Tar Heels?!  These two have such a fun, easy love...  and I got to witness both sides of it!  So much fun and yet so much room for the tender moments.  It was an honor to be a part of these moments :)

If you've been hanging around the blog for awhile you might have noticed that I love to get people in the grass, on the ground.  Of course I love how this looks, but it's not just about that.  This is going to sound super hippie and tree hugger, but really putting people on the ground during a shoot changes people.  I have my theories about what being connected to nature does for you emotionally and I think these moments during shoots prove my point.  People loosen up, they get a little more snuggly and let their personalities out a little more.

Ashley and Katie: I am so glad you found me on So You're Engayged's website!  I had a wonderful time getting to know you two as we hiked around Franklin Street and Carolina's campus.  I can't wait to hear how the wedding plans turn out and look forward to doing this again with you two!
