Business Story: Roller Coaster!

It's hard to explain what a crazy roller coaster ride it is to own a business.  This week if you are friends with me on Facebook you would have seen it (by the way, come friend me or us on Facebook!  We try to post cool things there that don't always make it to the blog)... One morning I am all upset because I fell into the temptation of comparing myself to another business and being jealous of something they got to do.  I just let it get to me and pull me down.  Three hours later, I get this announcement over email:

"The Knot brides have chosen the Best of Weddings 2012 and they choose you!"

It is an honor to be chosen among the other vendors that win this award.  This is an award that is solely based on how our brides talk about us and rate us on The Knot and that is humbling!

Then right after that, I find out that our images are up in the new marketing materials for The Carolina Inn.  You can find a few images of ours on their website, on display in their lobby and now also in their brochure.  It blew our minds to find out that out of the seven photographers featured in this brochure our images almost make up half of those featured (all images on the page below are ours).  WOW!

Last but not least, we were interviewed for a new Raleigh wedding resource blog and it went live yesterday!  If you want to learn more about us this is a great place to start.  Thank you Liz for giving us this opportunity!

So in the midst of me giving in to the always tempting pull to compare and covet I am reminded that we just need to remember to be ourselves... that is what makes us unique.  That's why people hire us- because of the work we produce and the way we go about producing that work.  Thank you for all the ways you support us!
