Personal Story: The Moon

So I am not exactly great at relaxing, especially during the wedding season.  I love the crazy schedule and pace of running your own business… the pressure, the workload.  Its a challenge I enjoy.  You might have noticed how AMAZING the weather has been in North Carolina this spring/early summer.  David and I try to take every opportunity to work a little here and there in the garden, eat dinner outside (at home or at a restaurant with outdoor seating), and visit with our awesome neighbors on one of our porches.  A couple of weeks ago the weather was amazing and the moon was full.  It was around 11:30pm that we took a break from working and met one of our favorite neighbors on our front porch to just hang out for a little while.  The clouds were puffy and wonderful… and I just could not help but stare as they kept sliding over the moon.  I had to grab my camera and my longest lens and see what I could capture of this amazing scene.  These are pretty much all straight out of camera (SOOC) except for the one or two I made black&white.  It was fun to play around with my exposure to get different effects as the evening went on…

Same thing, SOOC:
