Welcome to the world, Baby R!

Clements_0022s_650It is always so fun to photograph people that you care about… But it's especially a treat to photograph two family members meeting for the first time. Talk about an honor! This time I got to photograph two brothers meeting for the very first time for the Clements family. I know this family from All Stories Church and they have become such dear friends to me.It was time for Baby R to come home from the hospital and his big brother was STOKED to get to meet him. Can you handle the pictures where you watch that big brother looking out the window, getting excited when his family arrives home?! When his parents first got out of the car to walk to the back door to get the carseat out, big brother J exclaimed, "Oh no! They forgot the baby at the hospital!" Bless, he was so excited he couldn't even wait for them to open the door to get the baby out of the carseat. Then to listen as this big brother held his life long, built-in friend for the first time... "Look at his little toes!," "Awww he's so CUTE!," "His nose is so small!" All I could do was giggle because the level of sweetness was almost too much to handle.Y’all, I also have to add that this shoot took place a few hours before a hurricane was set to roll into town. It was already dark and rainy, hence the moody lighting by this huge, gorgeous window in their house. Mom Niana knows photography and knew she did not want artificial lighting. So, I dropped my settings and "sucked all the light out of the sky" and into my camera that we possibly could. In the end, I was able to capture these beautiful, natural photos that really captured the emotional moment perfectly.Clements_0008s_650Clements_0010s_650Clements_0016s_650Clements_0019s_650Clements_0025s_650Clements_0035s_650Clements_0040s_650Clements_0043s_650Clements_0047s_650Clements_0049s_650Clements_0054s_650Clements_0062s_650Clements_0066s_650Clements_0070s_650Clements_0074s_650Clements_0075s_650Clements_0079s_650Clements_0083s_650Clements_0086s_650Clements_0088s_650Clements_0095s_650Clements_0097s_650Clements_0103s_650Clements_0104s_650
