Love Story: Ashley and Forrest
As we rapidly approach spring wedding season I have had some awesome opportunities to do a little traveling for shoots. David and I got to spend a few days in our nation's capital for a couple of shoots this past week. This weekend I will be in the big apple for an engagement shoot... I don't even know why I unpacked in between!The first shoot we did in DC is coming soon to the blog... in the mean time, I wanted to share with you Ashley and Forrest's love shoot! You might remember their wedding and their trash the dress shoot from last summer... Well Ashley was jealous of all the fun engagement/love/anniversary shoots I get to do with couples. Forrest and Ashley know they might not live in DC forever, but for them it is a very special city as they fell in love, got engaged and then spent their first year married there. I loved the idea of capturing what is special to them about DC on this cold March morning :)
Forrest likes to pretend like he doesn't love these shoots with me but this time he couldn't fool me... he BROUGHT IT!! No direction needed.
I got to see their favorite monument, "secret" garden, the Capitol building, etc.
I would like to thank the drastic change in temperature and humidity in the Botanical Garden's jungle room for causing this romantic glow on my lens for a few minutes...
All they are missing is their protest signs...

The second half of the shoot took place at the Eastern Market, which I wanted to move in to. The market just happens to be on North Carolina Ave (Ashley and Forrest are both from NC and got married here)... and its full of amazing stuff!!
This next set makes me so giddy. I could do a whole blog post from this next set. I gave a sneak peek from it on the Story Photographers' facebook page this weekend...
Meet Norman. He got drafted into this shot for several reasons. First, Forrest and Ashley want this exact dog someday. Second, Norman shares his name with the professor whose class Ashley and Forrest met in at NC State. Normal was a good sport... so was his owner!
Ashley and Forrest: Yay!! You know have a love shoot! It was so fun following you two around to all your favorite DC locations :) What shoot are we going to do next ?!?!?! (hahahahaaaaa) Love you two!!
