Commercial Story: Lauren Hippo

Meet Lauren: Like many people right now, Lauren is transitioning out of teaching and is tackling all new career paths so she was in need of new headshots for this big transition. When you are making a big change, such as a change in career, it is important to have up to date headshots. Many of us don’t realize how important it is to look like your headshots. You want people to know it's you! Choosing a downtown location like this one makes for a great headshot location in any season. When doing headshots, it is important to me that the client feels authentically represented in their photo. Even in something as simple as a headshot I like to collaborate with the client not only in front of the camera but also behind the camera, allowing them to provide feedback as to what they feel best represents them and what they would prefer not to show in photos. Showing clients the back of the camera throughout the shoot really allows me to hone into what feels most natural and authentically them.
