Family Story: The Singley Family

The mama in this crew, Catherine, reached out to me with so much excitement over the fact that all three of her kids were going to be home for the holidays with ONE DAY overlapping in their schedules. All three of her grown kids are spread out all over the country, so this was a big deal. So what better way to celebrate than schedule a long awaited family photoshoot!

After many SUPER PUMPED emails from Catherine, the morning of the shoot I get a text from her that included a selfie showing me that she had face planted on a trail run that morning. OUCH! Yall, it’s like these things just know to happen on a very important photoshoot day. Don’t you worry, Becca was able to take good care of Catherine’s boo-boos in postedit.

The shoot ended up being so much fun. I like to analyze the differences and similarities in photographing younger siblings versus adult siblings and here’s one thing this shoot reminded me: siblings of all ages like to throw things at each other, especially with permission. So these three took my joke about how I usually have younger kids throw leaves at each other at the end if they’ve done a good job in the shoot and decided that they needed that reward too.
