Family Story: Daphne Turns One!

daphneblog-0001One of the best parts of our job is getting to continue to tell our couple's stories after their wedding day.  Jennifer and Adam have given us that privilege!  We met them at their wedding, then had documented Jennifer's growing baby bump a little under a year after the wedding.  Then I got to meet their sweet little lady, Daphne, when she was about one month old.   So when Jennifer and Adam asked me to cover Daphne's first birthday party I was super excited.  At this point I feel like I am part of their family!

You might remember from their previous shoots that Jennifer loves Disney so I knew Daphne's party would have a magical theme.  Jennifer did not disappoint - Mary Poppins was the theme, complete with "spoons full of sugar" cake pops for all the guests!  Happy Birthday, Daphne!

Daphne knew she was the VIP of the party and had everyone helping her walk around :)

The saying I've seen comes to mind with this next one... "I can at Grandma's!"

So from my experience shooting one year old birthday parties, most of the time the cake is not a big hit (as much as Pinterest wants you to think it will be -- I think those people smear cake on their kids for the photos!).
