Family Story: Baby T's Birth Day

TGbday-0006 copyI wrote on Facebook the day after this shoot that it was times like these that I no longer hear the noise and distraction of the wedding industry world, or who says they are doing what on social media, and I am brought back to the pure roots of why I do this job.  To truly be present with people and document all that happens as they experience a milestone in their lives.  To acknowledge that their story is important and worth telling.  I spent the day with baby T's family as his Mommy labored and labored to bring him into the world.  After laboring a very long time it just looked like the best thing to do in the given situation was to have a c-section.  This was not their plan at all, but these two (new) parents rallied together, showed support of one another and made the tough decision.  I was not allowed in the c-section so for the sake of story telling, these two have shared with me a couple of cell phone pictures of the delivery (you will see them in the middle in a row of three). This is sacred work, to witness the hard work of labor to bring a new life into the world.  I'm in awe of what I get to see in these moments and the bond it creates between me and the sweet family laboring and delivering new life to the world.  Baby T, we are so glad you are here!TGbday-0007 copyTGbday-0027 copyTGbday-0028 copyTGbday-0030 copyTGbday-0037 copyTGbday-0041 copydeliveryTGbday-0043 copyNAS_9880 copyTGbday-0052 copyTGbday-0057 copyNAS_9916 copyTGbday-0087 copyTGbday-0093 copyTGbday-0095 copyTGbday-0099 copyTGbday-0103 copyTGbday-0107 copyTGbday-0111 copyTGbday-0118 copyTGbday-0121 copyTGbday-0131 copyTGbday-0135 copyTGbday-0139 copyTGbday-0143 copyTGbday-0155 copyTGbday-0174 copyTGbday-0178 copyTGbday-0180 copyTGbday-0184 copyTGbday-0190 copyTGbday-0200 copyNAS_0244 copy
