Family Story: Baby S Baptism

One of my favorite things about the way the world works right now is that people are questioning traditions and the way you're "supposed" to do things, and making their own way. Nicki and Alex had a rainy Saturday for Baby S and his baptism -- the weather just barely held -- but it ended up being perfect. Baby S was surrounded by family and friend covering him in blessings for the life journey ahead. There wasn't a dry eye in the house -- myself included -- on this dock tucked away on the property at the North Carolina Museum of Art. I love photographing these kinds of events... where people decide what's important to them and they do it their own way.
