Commercial Story: Lindsey Boggs' Headshots
Y’all have heard me say over and over that one of my greatest joys of this work is getting to reconnect with people from various parts of my life through photography. Lindsey and I have known each other since we were teens and we recently reconnected when she took my Capture Your Story beginners photography class. After class we were chatting and she mentioned she really needed a new headshot but she hasn’t loved her experience with other photographers. I had photographed Lindsey’s family a couple of times but never took her headshot. I told her how we are super into taking them and knew we could work together to capture something she loved! One of the things Lindsey felt was different from her past experiences with getting her headshot taken was our planning discussions before the shoot. We took time to talk through her vision and how she wanted to use these images. Most importantly, we talked about what she wanted them to communicate about her. This discussion led to our decision to do a shoot with three different looks, each one serving a different purpose, and call on the incredibly talented Kris Bright for hair and makeup. Her first look was about being boss (more on that in a sec), her second look was about professionalism with a touch of her own style, and the final look was ALL Lindsey.Okay, I know I mentioned one of Lindsey’s looks was about being boss… y’all, this woman is the definition of B-O-S-S! She’s known for being LinkedIn Famous with the highest “social selling index score” IN THE WORLD. She travels all over to work with incredible companies to teach professionals about prospecting, sales and personal brand building on LinkedIn. She has given a TEDx talk in which she openly shares about her grief. And on top of all that, she co-founded a nonprofit called UNCrushed.org while working full-time in a leadership position at Citrix, here in Raleigh. Told you. Go check out her work in the world!I LOVED every moment of working with Lindsey, from the early planning to the shoot itself. I was so wonderful reconnecting with her and getting to capture these new headshots!
