Baby I turns ONE!

Y’all, this shoot was extra fun because of my many connections to Baby I’s family! I went to college with her dad Tyler and her uncle Zach. I’ve also worked with her mom Louisa when I’ve spoken at Campbell before because she’s on staff there! There’s SO much Campbell pride in this family!When Louisa first reached out to me about Baby I's first birthday, she told me how important it would be that the story of their families is told in these pictures. How through divorces, stage 4 cancer, and different religions… All these people come together because of their love for Baby I and her parents.  You could truly feel that in the room; how much everyone loves that baby! This party was also at the very beginning of COVID being in our social awareness, so the party was family only with elbow bumps and lots of hand washing.We started the birthday shoot before everyone arrived with portraits of Baby I in a (handmade from Paris) christening gown that was a gift to Baby I from Louisa's godparents. Louisa said they didn't get any pictures from Baby I's baby dedication so she wanted to make sure she got a good portrait of her in that beautiful gown. How special and precious!!I love photographing people this way... Being invited into people's lives to learn about their stories and then having the intimate opportunity to observe and document that story. It really is the best job y’all.Happy 1st birthday, Baby I!
