David here, one of my favorite things about Raleigh is the music, more importantly the music that is created here. With tons of venues, its easy to find yourself a quality show on any weekend night around town. For some time now I have wanted to capture Raleigh’s music scene in a unique way. Most often we are all exposed to a band’s music in live settings, but where does it come from? Where is it birthed? What did it take for that song to make it to the stage? Being in a band myself I know the work that goes into producing a song worthy of performance. In an effort to explore these questions I’ve been slowly putting together a project that I’ve called “Habitats.” Habitats is a melding of a few things I love: Raleigh, Music, Photography, and Local Support. This will be an ongoing project for myself and I hope it inspires you to seek out and support the great local music that Raleigh and the Triangle has to offer.
A big Thank You to American Aquarium for being the first!
More to come soon.
