Commercial Story: Kris Bright Headshots

KB0021s_650Y’all heard me gush a little about hair and makeup artist, Kris Bright in our announcement post for the 2020 Story Project yesterday, but today I’m going to tell you even MORE about why this woman is so wonderful.Kris just launched her new website for Kris Bright Beauty and needed new headshots for her site and social media channels. So, I recently shot these for her in my backyard and in an empty lot a block over from my place (adventures in social distancing, y’all!).I have to be really honest, as a photographer I always get a front seat in observing other vendors as they work with my clients... Then once they leave, I get to hear the client's reaction to the vendor's work. I also take referrals very seriously. I don't just refer someone for their work because they are a friend of mine, I only refer someone who does excellent work, with an admirable work ethic to boot. Kris Bright is a joy to work with all around. On the professional side, Kris is always on time, listens well to her client's vision, steps in when her professional opinion is needed, and always has clients leaving her chair with hair and/or makeup that they love! Here's what's even more important to me than that when it comes to referrals: Kris truly cares about her client's stories. She listens, asks questions, and lets that inform her work. It's very important to me that a hair and makeup artist relate well to clients, setting them at ease before whatever big moment or photoshoot they are heading into, helping them feel comfortable and confident. Kris is SO good at this! Her humor keeps the mood light, her nonjudgemental nature opens the door for honesty and authenticity in conversation... ALL WHILE NAILING YOUR HAIR AND MAKEUP!Like us, Kris also has a big heart for her community and has offered to do FREE hair and makeup for our 2020 Story Project shoots. I truly love working with Kris and know y’all will too!KB0001s_650KB0006s_650KB0007s_650KB0008s_650KB0009s_650KB0010s_650KB0012s_650KB0015s_650KB0016s_650KB0017s_650KB0020s_650KB0022s_650KB0024s_650KB0026s_650
