Commercial Story: Campbell University's Homecoming
This was the first time since I graduated that I've made it back to homecoming in Buies Creek! Most October Saturdays since 2006 I've been shooting a wedding or taking photos at various other shoots, so it was VERY exciting to book the day photographing homecoming at my alma mater! It’s really special to work an event like this where you can reflect on your own time spent on campus and you get to tell its current story.I got to hug so many people – some I haven’t seen in years, others who I see often. I got sunburnt during an afternoon photographing the events at Alumni Village and then it was cold and rainy by the football game. I got to revisit places on campus I had been many times, and I got access to places I had never been before.Campbell has given me so much, and the opportunity to revisit this space as a photographer helped me appreciate everything in my life that stems from my time there. I explored my calling, had it affirmed by so many, learned so much about who I am and what it means to be fully me in the world.
